Demi-god Vic is back, along with her friends, family, and foes. Thinking she had killed the “sentient virus” Vachel, Vic settles in to a routine of sorts as an outcast at her local high school, while she hones her powers with the help of the goddess Athena. But once again, forces beyond her ken are at work.
Werewolf friend and mentor Theron faces challenges from a rogue pack led by a criminal-turned-werewolf; Vachel is, in fact, not dead, but has aligned himself with this rogue pack as dark powers still seek to destroy Vic. The small town of Great Oak is once again roiled in violence and clashing supernatural forces, as Vic seeks to defend herself and those she cares about from evil.
