From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ashley Jade comes an edgy, enemies-to-lovers standalone romance about mistakes, forgiveness, and second chances.

He was the talented bad boy everyone wanted. I was the irrelevant geek everyone hated.

He was the sun...drawing all of us in. I was a black hole...taking up space. He was destined to be a star. I was destined to remain an insignificant no one.

Until he made me believe I was special...and then he destroyed me.

I never thought I'd see Phoenix Walker again after he broke my heart, but fate had other plans. One tour. Eight weeks. Forty shows. Countless opportunities to make him pay.

The world thought he was a god...but I know the truth.

This story had every potential to be epic. Will I remember this story? Yes, I absolutely will. I LOVED the beginning with Lennon and Phoenix’s early friendship and romance. Every time he called her groupie I swooned!
I loved a bad boy, good girl story especially one when he’s broken- and broken he was. But Lennon had her own demons and insecurities. Ashley Jade never leaves a stone unturned and no plot holes- like ever- and this book was no exception.
What I didn’t like was the pacing of the story in the present. It felt like it dragged on and it was repetitive in a way, not excessively but but enough to make me want them hurry up and resolve their issues- i.e. him stealing her song and breaking her heart.
Lennon was easily loveable and relatable but man, Phoenix was 50 shades of effed up. Sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll is one of the reasons I don’t read a lot of rock star romance, but did this author I would, however the over abundance of the mindless screwing and BJs made me unfeeling towards Phoenix, and that’s without his remorseless attitude towards stealing her blooming song and claiming it as his own.
There are lots of sensitive reader warnings and TW that shouldn’t be taken lightly, they’ve all be written well by this author who writes with so much compassion and integrity.

3.5 I got burned by the sun stars

Good story but fell short of being epic

✨Thoughts✨
I am absolutely in love with this story and the flawless narration! I can't seem to get over it. This story has everything - it's got the perfect blend of spice, humor, and heartache. It's a rollercoaster of emotions that will tug at your heartstrings.

I admire how the author delves into weightier themes while still handling them with care and respect. The story is comprehensive, leaving no stone unturned and hinting at the next couple's book in a way that will leave you eager for more.

The exceptional dual narration by two incredibly talented narrators will have you hooked from start to finish. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton bring the characters to life with their stellar performances. Their seamless transitions and distinct voices for each character are praiseworthy.

Overall, if you're a fan of angsty rock star romances, this audiobook is sure to blow you away!

🩵THE BEST ROCK STAR ROMANCE!🩵

I loved this book. Loved the story. Loved the characters. Loved the spice! This Female lead is probably the most I’ve ever identified with a character in a book… ever. Love how she was represented as curvy, you don’t read many books with a lead curvy girl. My only complaint about this book (POSSIBLE SPOILER) is that there was no grief trigger warning. As someone who recently lost 2 of their loved ones (one in a very very similar way this person lost their loved one who was the same role in my life as theirs), parts of this book were VERY hard to get through & triggering for me. So IMO I felt there should have been some sort of warning. This book is very long but I really did love it.

Love but I feel there should be an added Trigger Warning

So good, definitely not your usual fluffy romance. At times I wasn’t sure they were going to get there happing ending, but they do. Definitely worth a credit

Woah what a ride

This is so much more than an enemies to lovers or rockstar romance. This is the whole package. I am easily bored with stories I can predict. While the HEA is clear from the beginning, the journey and side characters make this a true world building success. The performance is fantastic and I had a hard time forcing myself to stop listening when life required me to. Now I have my fingers crossed that we get more the stories from this world.

This!
