This was just ok. I enjoyed the story on balance, but there was nothing new or original here and after the author's addendum I understand why that was the case. The story itself is workmanlike, but the human element or creativity is lacking. I enjoyed the concept very much, but the execution fell short for me.

I was entertained by this story, but I never had that moment of chills which I wanted to experience while listening to this story in the horror genre. I felt for Stefan as he dealt with his demons. I liked the twist. I enjoyed Ruben Marquez Jr's narration, and his performance enhanced the story's entertainment. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

This short 1 1/2 hour listen had me wondering how it might end. Of course, it was with a surprise twist. Interesting characters and a plot that was interesting enough for a full length novel.

I enjoyed Ruben Marquez Jr. He has a great voice for Stephan. 4 stars for his narration as well.

Interesting audiobook and was well narrated. Wasn’t a scary book at all. Stefan is hearing things from the woods and starts to investigate further.
