This meticulously researched book captures the spirit of the people - the courage of its volunteers, the rhythm of its music, the resilience of its communities - that have shaped Tennessee into what it is today. Repeats itself constantly. Good info but super annoying to hear the exact same sentences 100x.

If you’re a native Tennessee in and a bit of a history nerd go ahead and check this one out. It is AI narrated and the narrator butchers the word Opry and is sometimes a little repetitive. Overall the AI generated narration isn’t that bad and I’ve listened to much worse. The book is very interesting and full of information that you may or probably did not know. It seems like this audiobook is someone’s college thesis, but if you want know the true history of Tennessee give it a listen.
