Ally is desperate for a change of scenery. So, hoping to rebuild her life, she heads to an isolated retreat outside of a small town. But things move on their own, screams echo from the basement, and Ally sees a shadowy figure out of the corner of her eye. Is the retreat haunted? And if it is, what does the ghost want with Ally?

This story was vey bubble gum, but easy to listen to and held my interest. Nothing scary or gory. I prefer more horror, but this was pretty good.

Predictable but good

Cheryl May brought the tension out in this well written story.
A new start soon became a nightmare, what she heard and seen how were they connected and was the ghost really what she saw.

Excellent

This could hardly be called a ghost story, and certainly not a riveting one. With barely a handful of encounters with the spirit, this book focuses primarily on the drama between two sisters. I personally couldn't stand Emily. The elder sister was completely self-centered and constantly berated her sister and husband for not fitting her ideals. I just don't feel this was one of Hazel Holmes' best pieces.

Disappointing
