Larkspur Nielsen is ready for a change. Her parents have passed on, and her older brother is successfully running the family business. I have listened to this series more than once. Never disappointed in the presentation and enjoyed the way God was involved withe their every day life.

I don't usually take the time to review, but the storyline and characters were SO good and the narration was amazing! you could tell the difference between each. characters personalilty and the acting out of each one was just the best! if you are someone who struggles with bad narration this series is definitely for you! I will be completing all books in this series as well as following the narrator. 10/10 cannot recommend enough!

As always, Lauraine delivers a great story. A trouble making younger brother forces a family to make tough decision about how to keep themselves safe. Set between Ohio and Nebraska, the woman of the family face obstacles that means never would have dreamed of.

As usual, Lauraine delivers a high-quality book.

I love historical fiction. I know life was much harder for so many other that chose to pioneer, but it’s okay with me to dial down the darkness a bit. I’ll definitely continue to book 2.

I like that Lark’s character adapted to survive and to help her sisters. All the characters were amazing. You must read it to experience your own joy in reading this book.
