Is there anything you would change about this book?
This book starts with a strong character who protects her land from harm by carrying around a sling. However, as soon as she meets her darling husband she turns into a sappy, hangy, woman who tries to earn his respect by throwing tantrums. Perhaps the difficulty is that this is an audio book. If you were reading a normal book you could skip a page here, or a paragraph there and the plot would move along fine and keep you interested. But wading through every last detail gets tedious.Has The Prize turned you off from other books in this genre?
