Performed in duet by Teddy Hamilton & Brooke Bloomingdale!

Just what every bride dreams of—running straight from her cheating fiancé into the arms of a hot hockey star… and then getting hired as his kids’ nanny.

Tyler Falcon is protective, flirtatious…and frustratingly responsible. We almost did something reckless when he found me alone in my wedding dress, and I blurted out all the things I’d never truly experienced.

Now, the sexy single dad is saving me again with a job I desperately need—and a promise to never mention The Night of 1001 Confessions.

I live in his house. Take care of his kids. Pretend I don’t notice his heated gaze lingering on me after they fall asleep.

Until one night, the tension snaps.

Now we have a deal. Five lessons in seduction. No strings attached.

But he’s not just good in bed. He spoils me with thoughtful gifts and supports my dreams. For the first time, I feel like I belong.

Except…this was never meant to last. I’m his employee. He has kids to protect. And neither of us can afford to make a mistake.

The more nights we spend tangled up together though, the harder it is to pretend it’s just physical. Because I’m not only falling for my boss—I’m falling for the man whose kids have stolen my heart.

The Overtime Kiss is the latest stand alone romance in The Love and Hockey series by Lauren Blakely. Tyler Falcon is a single dad to two adorable littles whose nanny has unexpectedly decided to move to be closer to her family. The team’s nickname for Tyler is hilarious and perfect, Daddy Falcon! Hilarious!! Sabrina is such a beautifully sweet, but slightly hurt soul who finds herself as a runaway bride and heads right into Tyler’s orbit! The instant attraction between Tyler and Sabrina is so palpable. The journey to love that these two take, is both beautiful and heartfelt. Will Tyler learn just how much he loves his children and hockey that he can have both a personal and professional life? Will Sabrina learn how to believe in herself and to trust her choices and finally stand up to her parents? I love the entire series but I am quite fond of both Tyler and Miles’(Tyler’s brother/The Girlfriend Zone) how they so easily bring new found significant others into their fold while showering them with so much needed love and acceptance. The Overtime Kiss by Lauren Blakely has so many feelings in this single-dad, nanny, and found family love story that I just couldn’t put it down til the end. The audiobook is narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Brooke Bloomingdale in duet narration. I love duet narration. Teddy Hamilton is a seasoned performer to my ears and as always he does not disappoint as Tyler Falcon. This is the first time I have listened to Brooke Bloomingdale and totally enjoyed her performance as Sabrina Snow. Both narrators bring Tyler and Sabrina to life providing a fun escape for a few hours. *****

Story and narration top notch!

The romance between Tyler and Sabrina in The Overtime Kiss by Lauren Blakely is characterized by a blend of emotional vulnerability, undeniable chemistry, and the complexities that arise from their evolving relationship and personal circumstances.

Sabrina is introduced at a vulnerable moment—she has just left her fiancé at the altar after discovering his infidelity. Still in her wedding dress, she seeks solace at a hotel bar, where she unexpectedly encounters Tyler, a professional hockey player and single father to Parker and Luna. Sabrina is also Luna’s skating coach, which means there is already a connection between them, though Tyler has harbored feelings for Sabrina for some time. Despite his attraction, Tyler has always respected her engagement and never acted on his feelings.

Their initial interaction is marked by Tyler’s gentlemanly behavior: he offers her his hotel room for the night and provides clothes for her the next morning, demonstrating both kindness and restraint. This sets the tone for their relationship—rooted in mutual respect and consideration for each other’s emotional states.

Their dynamic becomes more complicated when circumstances bring them into even closer proximity. Tyler’s nanny leaves, and Sabrina, needing a job, is hired as the new nanny by Tyler’s mother. Now, Tyler’s long-held crush becomes his employee, intensifying their daily interactions. The chemistry between them is palpable, and as they spend more time together, their attraction deepens. However, both are cautious: Sabrina is recovering from a broken engagement, and Tyler is protective of his children and wary of complicating their lives with a new romance.

Despite these hesitations, Tyler and Sabrina eventually give in to their feelings, agreeing to a relationship with an “expiration date.” This arrangement allows them to explore their connection while acknowledging the potential risks they both want to avoid. The developing intimacy between them, not just physically but emotionally, is both exhilarating and scary as Sabrina becomes more involved in Tyler’s family life and his relationship with his children. The adorable personalities of Parker and Luna add warmth and depth to the romance, making Sabrina’s growing affection for the entire family an integral part of the narrative.

I always enjoy the “getting to know each other better” parts of a love story. This was a beautiful, funny, swoony story was so well-written, and I loved every minute of it. The characters were great, and the narration by Brooke Bloomingdale and Teddy Hamilton was flawless.

I love everything about this story!

I think this book was one of my favorites of this series! I am always a sucker for the hockey player plus single dad trope. And Tyler did not disappoint. I love the dynamic between his kids and him and how easy Sabrina fits in.

Sabrina goes from Tyler’s secret crush, to being his kid’s live in nanny, which is always a fun one to read.

I also love how Tyler and Sabrina are able to connect on a deeper level with how they were brought up. Not only do they work on healing separately but they help heal each other together as well.

These books have such a cozy ‘found family’ vibe, and I love how all of them are connected. Absolutely loved it!

I loved The Overtime Kiss! Tyler “Daddy Falcon” is a single dad juggling hockey and two little ones when Sabrina, a runaway bride, shows up in his life. The sparks between them? Instant and sooo good. Their whole love story is sweet, funny, and just the right amount of heartfelt. And can we talk about the audiobook? Teddy Hamilton is always my favorite—he nails Tyler. Brooke Bloomingdale was new to me, but she totally brought Sabrina to life. Such a fun listen!
