It’s been years since Abby O’Brien Winters set foot in Chesapeake Shores. The Maryland town her father built has too many sad memories, and Abby has too few spare moments - thanks to her demanding Wall Street career, the crumbling of her marriage, and her energetic daughters. Then one panicked phone call from her youngest sister brings her racing back home to protect Jess’ dream of renovating the charming Inn at Eagle Point. But saving the inn from foreclosure means dealing not only with her own fractured family but also with Trace Riley, the man Abby left 10 years ago. Trace can be a roadblock to her plans...or proof that second chances happen in the most unexpected ways.

I loved this book. Characters were realistic and well portrayed by narrator. Story was interesting and unfolded nicely. Ending made Mr feel good. Book was a nice escape ... glad to have found a new author I can enjoy. Will look for more books by Sherryl Woods and hope to find more narrated by Erin Bennett.

GREAT BEACH READ!

A few years ago, I started watching the show these books are based on. I think I only got about two episodes in before I had to stop because they were removed from the streaming service. Years later, I decided that I would at least read the books first and then maybe go back and find the show again once I finish the series.

The Inn at Eagle Point was a pretty good read. I really enjoyed the romance between the two main characters and found myself invested in where their story was headed. I also enjoyed the family dynamics for the most part. Although I have to admit, Jess drove me crazy and was probably my least favorite character.

One thing I especially liked was the way the author described the setting and everyday moments. It made the story feel warm and easy to settle into. Overall, this was an enjoyable start to the series, and I will definitely be continuing on with the next books.

Glad I Finally Picked Up the Books

I enjoyed following the family dynamics and I will definitely read the next book in the series. However, the narration was poor because there was no range. All the female voices were the same and all the male voices were the same. Sometimes I had to rewind to know who was speaking.

Story was good. Narrative..meh
