As a personal trainer in NASM, I was very shocked and disappointed by the protein recommendations for women. 45gs of protein is not conducive to building muscle, which is imperative to protection for the bones in women. Especially as they age. The recommended amount is 1g of protein per goal weight. Also, there’s mixed messages in the story. In the beginning the writer says to avoid dairy, but then goes over the benefits of eating dairy. I was really excited to read this book, but it isn’t well thought-out or executed in a way that’s comprehensive.
