The journey to Yenice is long, and Luciel has a big task ahead of him. Charged with reviving a long-defunct branch of the Healer’s Guild in a nation of beastfolk, the S-rank healer’s mission was never going to be easy. But things are made even more complicated when it is revealed that the country is home to its own host of problems, and even Luciel’s reputation isn’t enough to keep trouble away.

In contrast to his time at the Adventurers Guild, the welcome mat hasn’t exactly been laid out for him, and he’ll have to learn to navigate the murky waters of local affairs or risk falling victim to the schemes that unsavory politicians are concocting from the shadows.

What a versatile substance - it's a monster deterrent, an interrogation tool. a disciplinary tactic, a weapon, and if your a masochist zombie, you can even drink it! Seriously though, this was a pretty good volume despite the horrible narrator. Someone get that guy a coffee, please.

my only complaint is that the book was too short. It needed to be twice as long. Can't wait for the next book to make it to audible

my biggest overall gripe is the narrator was making a lot of mouth noises. It made listening uncomfortable sometimes.
the story is still good. it isn't particularly exciting, and the MC isn't a particularly compelling character. he lets people walk all over him and waits for other people to deal with his issues. kinda lame but eh.

short but fun (kinda drags at the end)

This was fantastic! I love this series. it is definitely one of my favorite anime/manga/light novel series out there.

Always a Great Series

They glorify slavery with the “he treats his slaves good” crap point and just feels gross

Why do all these series have to glorify slavery at some point.
