The story kept me wanting more as it moved between the perspectives of each character. I never quite had it solved until almost the end. The only drawback for me was the narrator voicing Brea. She’s a solid reader, but her voice is lifeless & thin. I also found I had to adjust the speed to 1.2 every time her parts came up. All in all I enjoyed it very much and that did not spoil it for me. I hope there are more books in this series to come. I’ve liked them all.

there were intriguing plot twists. The last chapter would be an extraordinary read. The passages written with his co author in the last chapters were quite thoughtfully written.

Better than some of Pattersons' other recently published.

This was an overall great read. I loved how the story didn’t end until the truth was uncovered and justice was served. The president’s final speech felt like a detailed blueprint that another leader could use to save the economy and reduce the national debt, it was incredibly thorough, yet still fit seamlessly into the plot. We had been waiting to learn what the “great bargain” would involve, and the reveal didn’t disappoint. A suspenseful and satisfying story from start to finish.

The voices were ok but didn’t quite fit the characters. After a few chapters, I would like to recognize which character is speaking before being told.

I loved the storyline. Well researched and written thriller.
