THE EXCITING CONCLUSION TO THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING WITCH AND HUNTER DUOLOGY CULMINATES WITH A SWEEPING ROMANCE AND AN EPIC BATTLE TO DETERMINE THE FATE OF MAGIC … AND THE WORLD.

After escaping the clutches of Dieter Kirch, the sadistic leader of the witch hunters, Fritzi and Otto have taken refuge among the witches of the Black Forest.

Fritzi is finally ready to assume her place on the council as the coven’s goddess-chosen champion … until she uncovers a powerful secret that could mean the very undoing of magic itself.

Otto is certain the peaceful unity of a witch and hunter will heal the wounds he helped make. But he will have to face both his past and what it means to bind himself to a magic he does not fully understand.

Shadows loom. Truths are revealed. And as dangers new and old arise, Fritzi and Otto must stand together in their love against everything that threatens magic—even if the biggest threat might be the very bond they share.

I enjoyed this series plot and characters. The author did a wonderful job with the building of romantic tension with closed door scenes.

Enjoyed the plot

The writing is flawless, timeless, and evidence of remarkable erudition! I particularly enjoyed Nicolas Guy Smith's Bogart and Ricky impressions. The entire novel serves as a reminder that order devours the crumbs of chaos, beauty decimates decay, and civility restores even the darkest of souls.

Acclamation, Applause, and Appeal!

I always feel bad leaving a low score because I am in awe of someone writing a story for others to enjoy. book 1 was great and book 2 was good. I didnt stay as invested in book 2 and hurriedly listened through the end. the story is good but i think i would have enjoyed it mire reading with my eyes rather than my ears.

the narrators reading for each other wasnt great. the male should have read all of Otto's parts.
