Behind the façade of their marine salvage business, Bobby Martin and James Krug run a thriving drug empire. But when they partner with Mexican cartel boss Don Guzman, bodies start washing up in Choctawhatchee Bay.
After Nik's brother, Ray, a local deputy, takes a hitman's bullet for asking too many questions, Nik goes undercover. From midnight marina shootouts to desperate boat chases across the bay, Nik's racing to expose a conspiracy that reaches into the highest levels of law enforcement. But in a town where badge and cartel sometimes mean the same thing, trust can be as deep as the Gulf—and twice as deadly.
"The Deep Six" launches an explosive new thriller series where the water's deep, crime runs deeper, and paradise comes with a body count.
Perfect for fans of Randy Wayne White and Carl Hiaasen, this atmospheric thriller delivers a fresh voice in Florida crime fiction.
Dear Reader, This isn't a cozy mystery. Sure, it's funny, has a lot of interplay between characters, and also is set in one of the most beautiful places in the world. But the story and the way the story is told is a little noir. There's some blood, a guy gets shot, and drugs are smuggled by some of the worst people you can imagine. Having said that, the book isn't dark. It's very positive overall. But it's not cozy.
