This audiobook deals with P.T.S.D, past childhood sexual abuse. The main character starts having flashbacks of disturbing memories. She is unable to eat, sleep or maintain her job. Her whole life is upended. She must find a way to get her life back. Carol Anne Shaw narrated this book well.

This was my first experience with Susan Glenney's work. The story was very moving as it dealt with a protagonist who was forced to face buried secrets from her past. The novella related her journey to self-realization and acceptance. Carol Anne Shaw's narration was good, and her performance kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Poignant and brave, The Bow Tie is a striking piece of work. Jennifer’s journey is, at times, difficult but worth every minute. By the end, you’ll be cheering for her, and you’ll love her too.

The very heart felt story of Jennifer. A teacher with a suppressed, horrific past. Her nightmares. Her memories. Her anger. Her struggles. Finding help. Finding healing.
Carol Ann Shaw presented this story very nicely. Her voice is almost too sweet for the struggles that Jennifer goes through. I am still going to give her 5 stars, because she is so easy to listen to.
