Critic reviews

"Mayer, a Special Forces veteran and author of Eyes of the Hammer, keeps story and characters firmly under control. Even his scenario is chillingly plausible, given the fluid parameters of scientific ethics in a technological and political climate in which dollars must show immediate results." This third installment in the green beret series is a thrilling ride from start to finish. Blending a bit of horror into the mix it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next.

Third time is more of a charm

Have come to appreciate Mr. Mayer's stories, but this one struck a cord, as it is intriguing enough and one can't help but wonder, as scientists work more with DNA and genetic engineering, if something like this could not be happening somewhere. Therefore, the premise might be plausible. Personally, I was glad that Holly was the ultimate hero.

One of Mayer's best

Another in the successful Green Berets series , fans of the series will not be disappointed , well-written and well-read the book is a great addition to the story and suffers only slightly from it's now 20 year old date.

A tad bit predictable, but well done!
