This story is about promises made, promises kept, love and family. It highlights the importance of family, which is not necessarily defined by blood, but rather by choice and the care we take of each other. The characters are well-drawn and believable. The author's writing style is easy to follow, and the narration performed by Jeannie Stone is well done.

The story left me with a warm glow and a hope for humanity.

Life moved on bringing another to their family circle. Ultimately a fourth was added. Still their world revolved around the promises they made and kept.
