I only just started listening yesterday and I’m done already. Each chapter had something that left me asking what’s going to happen next and now I find myself at the end.

I couldnt get into this book at first, even took a break from it. Once I came back the book really did pick up and I enjoyed it. It is your normal Mafia man takes Mafia mans daughter.

I absolutely loved the story except the FL she is annoying, stupid and weak! But just because I dont like her doesn't mean you won't. It is a great story line and I think i would have loved it more if I like stupid FL she is a backstabbing, untrustworthy woman she is crying how he doesnt trust her then continues to seek out her father yet continues to not understand why he wants to kill her father, HER father killed his mom, like hello did you not hear that dummy!? anyways great book though the narration was just amazing and J.L. Beck does a great book!

The story was interesting enough... the girl was indeed young acting. The female narrator sounded like a robot at times it was very distracting, reason for the four stars.

Loved how they fell in love with each other when neither was looking for love. Loved how it pained Julian to see the hurt he was causing Elana, how she was able to soften his heart towards loving her. The protectiveness and possessiveness he had towards Elana was off the chart. She was able to change him into a better man than he allowed himself.
