The “Salton Riviera” was a desert playground in the 1950s. Private boats and skiers dotted the clear blue waters. Celebrities drove in from Hollywood and mingled with upscale tourists at the resorts. Fast forward several decades. The Salton Sea is drying up, leaving the rotting skeletons of birds and fish in its wake and the only ones left are outsiders, outlaws, and those too poor to move. Geoff “Mahalo” Mulholland is an inventor, physician, and helicopter pilot—and now he must solve his friends’ murders in a mysterious plane crash.
