Sean and Gel have only just begun to whet their appetite for revenge.

With their former master, the necromancer Bancroft, now more desperate than ever to recapture them, the eternal hunger of undeath raising the hourly mana costs for Sean's survival ever-higher, and naught but desert for miles around, it's time to start upping their game.

Traveling deeper into the sands in search of new allies, equipment, and exotic foodstuffs to gorge on, our heroes set a course for the city of Dervash, home of the Gold Spire. But with the local contingent of paladins unlikely to roll out the welcome wagon for a half-undead, half-slime monstrosity, have our dynamic duo bitten off more than they can chew?

New foods, foes, and a fun-sized sadistic cookbook join the fray, while angels look down in unabashed horror from on high as Sean and Gel slice, dice, and dissolve their way through this latest adventure in Rise of a Monster: Second Course!

Good continuation of the story. Had some slow spots. Wish there was more fighting, but it was still interesting. Neil Hellegers was fantastic as always.

Solid book

Sean and Gel continue to march forward to lay waste to those who would vanquish them while Sean continues to hone his cooking skills for flavor and favor.

Neil Hellegers' performance is perfect for this series.

Entertaining continuation of the series

The relationship between Sean and Gel is show to us from the perspective of other character at times in this book is a real treat. I hope the character introduced in this book continue to make an appearance in the next. I personally am a huge fan of "Feathers" myself.

A sequel better than the original.
