I’ve listened to the lost fleet, beyond the frontier and outlands as well as the lost stars series. And this book answers most of the questions I had but hearing how Blackjack got his nickname and how Tanya earned the fleet cross. Amazing

This anthology was a welcome surprise. I am a little biased because I will take any opportunity to revisit this setting, but I genuinely enjoyed these little background pieces to fill in the story of the Lost Fleet series, especially how the Corsair came to be where it was.

I enjoyed this short story collection. It was fun to find out where BlackJack got his nickname, experience the battle at Grendel, and get a glimpse of the lives of other characters, as well.

Writing is excellent as always, and the narrator is superb..but be forewarned, this book is 3 short stories..
