Years ago I had from a fertilized and chemically treated garden. There is no comparison in how much better organic tastes even if you don't consider the health advantages if you ask me. In a nutshell, I consider this my organic veggie garden bible. I have journals full of information but I keep changing to this.

One thing the author stresses is the importance of keeping the soil working at a deep level, and full of organic material. Growing up areas by adding layers of fertilizer is his main strategy as well as planting in groups in areas, not necessarily in series. He also stresses crop rotations and planting certain plants together to either resist insects or utilize different earth metals together.

Great book on gardening, I recently started a garden in my backyard and I downloaded different books to have more knowledge. I think give some different tips of the other books I listen on this topic, and I will probably read more books written by the author. Very well written and a must-have before you start gardening.

This audible was recommended by my local organic produce, near Austin, Texas. They use it as their all-encompassing reference work for vegetable plants and herbs, treatments, fertilizers, growing tips, medicinal plants, etc. It's easy to reference information, and I especially like the pest guide with simple drawings to help identify the advantageous bugs from the unfavorable ones.

I had purchased this audible for my kindle. After scanning through it I understood that this is one of those audible that the physical form would do better than the kindle format. So I bought the physical format. He talks about clay additives, what plants do better when planted with certain other plants.
