The phrasing and the narrator had me almost DNF this book. Overall just okay, needs some editing

I enjoyed this short story and the twists toward the end. I struggled a bit with the believability of the inner dialogue of the 7 year old character as her thoughts and actions seemed more mature than a 7 year old would be. In any event, this story kept my attention and had a satisfying conclusion.
