A double award-winning historical romance

An irrepressible duke, a bookish spinster, a devious murderer... Regency house parties have never been so hazardous!

Oliver Dasenby is the most infuriating man Primrose Garland has ever known. He may be her brother's best friend, but he has an atrocious sense of humor. Eight years in the cavalry hasn't taught him solemnity, nor has the unexpected inheritance of a dukedom.

But when Oliver inherited his dukedom, it appears that he also inherited a murderer.

Oliver might be dreadfully annoying, but Primrose doesn't want him dead. She's going to make certain he survives his inheritance - and the only way to do that is to help him catch the murderer!

Length: full-length novel of 85,000 words.

Sensuality level: regency romance with steamy love scenes.

This was a great story where you are trying to guess who is trying to kill Oliver while wrapped in romance. Then to have harpie trying to get rid of the competition for the attention of a duke. Finally add in a fairy godmother into the mix. Most importantly, I enjoy listening to Roselyn Landor narration of the book. She does a great job with the different voices.

Great Story & Who done it!

This book shoulda/coulda have been much much shorter. Thirty Nine chapters of inane "she went down the stairs to the drawing room" and "they all walked together down the garden path" was way too much. I think the author tried to portray Oliver, the hero(?) as a happy guy who liked to tease and joke. Welllll....that didn't go well. When he pulled his stunts, I couldn't help but think "this guy was a Captain in the Army? Uh....no. And how many chapters does it take to have a sexy love scene? Certainly not 3..like this book did. While the story was original...sorta...the book lacked substance, the characters were not well-defined, and the dialogue was very immature.

Kinda silly

Absolutely did not read the reviews just went in blind and could not have been more happy. This was such a cute story and the interaction between the lead characters was perfection! Every relationship should be so honest and playful.

So refreshing and funny

Took me a bit to get into it personally, but so glad I kept going, because once I got into it I couldn't stop listening until the end!

Loved it!
