Holy shenanigans that was a fun book. There will be a sequel I’m assuming, so if you hate cliffhangers wait for the next book. I’ll admit, I cursed a bit after noticing there wasn’t a sequel on audible. Don’t worry I emailed the author to see when we could find more of her books in audible library.
I honestly wanted to binge this book so badly, I stayed up way too late two nights in a row. The characters are phenomenal, and the world that Elizabeth created is fantastic. The narration was perfect and overall this was just a great book. It’s definitely going in my top 10 list.
A little about why I review.

I am recovering from a brain injury that has caused difficulty for me in many areas including reading, or watching any type of screen. Audiobooks have become the only form of entertainment I can engage in. I started reviewing books in order for me to remember whether or not I should re-listen to a particular book. I fallen into that trap too many times. On average, I listen to approximately 250 hours of audiobooks or podcasts per month. I’m an easy-going person so, if I don’t like something it’s pretty rare. A bad narration is my sticking point though, I will disregard the best book if the narrator is terrible.

This is my first review ever, but I want to give Britney Jackson and Lindsey Dorcus their deserving credit! This was an enthralling, exciting adventure with desirably, broken complex characters, teasers of future, more elaborate story lines (hopefully) and of course the surge of dopamine with almost every chapter! If you enjoy an fantasizing escape with an absolute incredible narrative from Lindsey, look no further. I listened twice, because I just was not ready to leave the world of Aletharia. And I’m so glad I did as I was able to hear the subtle clues to future books, along with really feeling the complexity of the two main characters. Fantastic listen, Thankyou.

I enjoyed this story with it’s hardened lady Pirate who had a hard time expressing her tender side. The love hate relationship kept me entertained but I’d say the witch character seemed somewhat dense regarding her insightfulness on being in love. But perhaps the author made the character this way due to her history. The narrator was splendid with a smooth tone which was pleasant to the ears. I’m looking forward to enjoying the second book in this series to see both of these characters explore their love new adventures.

Just finished and I'm so sad it's over. It's been a long time since I have missed book characters. Well written and well narrated. I'm very happy that it looks like there will be a book two.
