Ominous obelisks land on Earth with a single message: Join the games to give humanity a fighting chance to survive... Or roll over and die.

Too bad for them, Warren isn't the rolling-over type.

Cancer may be kicking Warren's a$$, but he's not about to let aliens destroy his home and everything he loves (which is mostly just his dog, Buck). Besides, what does he have to lose?

Better to die with sword in hand, bleeding out from a head wound than in some hospital bed...

Once the games begin, Warren can't help but think, "Maybe hospital beds aren't so bad after all."

Nah, F that! If you're going to go out, might as well go out having an impaled taraza (whatever the hell that is) at the end of your blade.

Obelisk: System Integration is an action-packed, epic, LitRPG apocalypse series. Our heroes face off an alien invasion, academy politics, PvP, and tower ascension—all to save Earth from being destroyed. Perfect for fans of Defiance of the Fall, Life in Exile, and Apocalypse: Generic System.

Review is for books 1-5 plus some of 6. Overall it's just okay there are some fun moments and some good characters, but the story is lacking and Warren being made to pseudo idiot does the story a massive disservice. I say pseudo idiot because he's actually smart but just makes idiotic decisions other than he doesn't want to think.

If you haven't read too many LittRPGS this can be a nice intro to them, but if you're a few deep I think this is a skip. I'd rather not give recommendations for other stuff, but honestly Dungeon Crawler Carl does this type of story far better, I'm not sure what came first so can't say of either inspired another or not.

Simple Fun

OK So i had this one on preorder due to all the hype online about the series. it was a long wait for a kind of meh story first all i hate multiple perspective especially when it done to boost word count as far I'm concerned, and this one had many such addition to the story. progression was also slow. there in a tower with 100 floors and that is just the first of the trial, but they only finished floor 5 ?? either the tower is never going to get finished or author is going to try and milk 20 books out of me no thanks. the only 2 good points so far is narrator was great, and the magic / system was interesting. i am unsure if i will give the next book a try or not at this time.

Long wait for what
