"NeuroSeniors" was extremely intriguing. They explained neurodivergence in a simple way that the reader could understand. Then the author dove into the brain and the aging process, including neurological changes that happen. It helped me understand my senior parents more and how I could help them and be more patient. This is definitely an interesting read, especially if you have neurodivergent seniors at home..

I thought this book was a very helpful resource for providing care to neurodiverse seniors! The book was laid out by chapter on how to provide the best care possible in meeting the needs of elderly individuals with neurodiverse backgrounds. Topics that were included involved how to better communicate, meeting nutritional needs, routine schedules, and meeting medical needs. A great resource!

This book explores how the aging brain changes, and how those changes can be supported rather than feared. Shepherdson avoids the decline narrative that often surrounds aging. Instead, she highlights strategies for cognitive resilience, the emotional landscape of aging, how lifestyle choices influence brain health, and the importance of social connection and purpose. One of the greatest drinks is how Shepherdson weaves together a research with real stories from seniors, caregivers, and clinicians.
