In 1915 Robert Baden-Powell published this book detailing a series of anecdotes from his personal experience as a spy for the British Empire. The book is entertaining, and can be considered as educational for anyone thinking of taking up the role of international spy.

Cunning and bravery. Baden-Powell was known as the “Hero of Mafeking” for his leadership during the Boer War when the town was under siege for months. To most people, he is known as the father of the scouting movement. But this account of his experiences in spying is amazing. The quick thinking and cleverness is only matched by his confidence and self awareness. I truly enjoyed this “game” as his called his approach to spying. In fact, that is also his approach to his training young people who are scouts. I believe that is why scouting became such a huge success. Be prepared!

Cunning and courageous.

An easy and enjoyable listen. Very much what you would expect from B.P., and well performed. A unique historical perspective.
