If you like listening to a teenage novel … you might enjoy it. But for me …. This audio book is a DUD!!!!

Very teenage-ish …

Narrator is annoying. Protagonist is unlikable. The similes are the most ridiculous ever (as a lactating wolf). It could have been so much better.

Annoying

I liked the premise and the initial characters, but the book dragged as the stupid sleuth did increasingly stupid things. I won’t be reading more in the series.

A little too sloppy and insipid

Enjoyed this book. Looking forward to more in the series. Fun main character with interesting supporting characters. The culprit was a little easy to spot.

Good start to a new series

I appreciated the little details like the Pat Benatar T-shirt, working in Stephen King’s ‘On Writing’, and the character’s complex relationship with her mother, but I knew who it was as soon as she described them and then the rest of it sort of felt a little two dimensional.

A bit obvious
