A lovely story! I was so engrossed that I got upset when the conflict was finally unveiled and had to take a break.
After consideration I find no real flaws with the characters' behavior except that Hollis was too perfect.

This is my first Sarah Adler read and I am positively charmed. I cannot wait to read more from this author. This is a perfect example of how to do a rom com right. Beautifully written, with wonderfully complex characters. One of my top reads this year (and I’ve read 100+).

Might I also add that the narration is PERFECTION. I just had to toggle over to the title details to confirm the narrator’s name and I am just tickled that it is Mara Wilson, star of all of my favorite 90’s children’s films. As a millennial it makes me so happy to see her name attached to this. Don’t skip this one!

When I started this book, I didn’t know what to expect. I ended up loving it! Another way to put it is that I am in love with Hollis Hollenbeck, lol! Millie is pretty awesome, too. The story flows well and the unexpected spice was excellently placed. You get a full circle happily ever after without any unnecessary drama and just enough conflict to be believed. A+ from me!
