Darla is desperate to escape her overbearing parents on their Hawaiian vacation. Who could have expected a whale to swim up beside her on a boating excursion and become her closest confidant? There is something about the whale's soulful gray eyes and powerful demeanor that she finds intriguing, but alas, she must return to shore with the rest of the humans. Later that evening, however, when a seven-foot-tall man with an odd dialect approaches Darla on the beach, there is something strangely familiar about him...
Moby never intended to utilize his power to shift from a whale to a human. Until he met Darla, that is. The little human with the melodic voice and a body that grips him with sensual urges. Urges he has now come to land to fulfill—and fulfill them he will. But when Moby is harpooned by love, he must confess his true identity to Darla...and even worse, that his time on land is limited. Unless Moby and Darla can together break a decade-old curse...and keep him human forever.

This was a fast paced fun listen. A tad out there but also very interesting. Smutty, spicy, darn good time. Not my favorite by Jessa Kane but still a great book that you can listen to in one sitting. The narrators did a great job I enjoyed their performance.

Darla is in Hawaii with her parents and not having a good time until they go whale watching, and she finds herself staring at a blue whale. Just like many of us, she talks to it as if she’s talking to a pet. But somehow… It seems to understand her.
Moby is the whale. Of course he can understand her! He finds himself drawn to the petite human girl, and guess what? Due to a curse cast by a sea witch, he can shift into a human for 24 hours, so why not?
He shows up, their human-to-human meet-cute is hilarious, and Darla can’t really stop herself from wanting him.
Listening to the audiobook only made it worse, and by that, I mean better.
Robert Hatchett is incredible! He had me laughing out loud with Moby’s lack of knowledge of human anatomy (even though Moby can use his—thoroughly!).
And Samantha Brentmoor… I’m running out of compliments for this woman because she was perfect. That’s it, my one-word review. And her witch cackle? I bookmarked it! Am I using that word again? Yep. PERFECT.
Jessa Kane knows how to spice. I know it isn’t realistic (don’t try this at home, kids!), but I’m capable of separating fact from fiction and just enjoy it. The spicy scenes in audio? You REALLY need this (caps intended!)
They become close. Moby becomes so much more than a random guy she met, and she becomes his everything. Now, if only he could stay human…
Don’t worry, there’s an HEA, and it’s a good one.
I totally recommend this audio for something silly and steamy—it’s so worth it!
You are my happiness.
