After reading The Giver, I decided to read mesenger. I had hope that this book would be as good as The Giver. I was a bit disapointed however. In this book the author left too much questions unanswered. In The Giver, she did leave some questions out, but thouse aren't impprtant questions. Besides from that this book is great.

The author wrapped up the cliff hangers from The Giver and Gathering Blue. Before listening to this program please listen to The Giver (not the movie but the actual book) and Gathering Blue. There are so many hints and references back to those books. I have but one thing I wish because it could possibly be a cliff hanger but I am also content if it is not. The author uses so much figurative language for the dystopians that one can form many analogies on how to fix not only themselves but help others.

A wonderful wrap up to the cliff hangers

This story weaves several stories together like an intricate tapestry. This should be a required reading tor anyone who thinks that building a wall can solve internal problem. I’m glad I saved it for a train trip with my reading partner where one of us could read the book and the other listen. The moments of “can you believe this!” and trying to predict the story meshed beautifully with the snowy magic of views from the train windows.
An unforgettable experience!
