The voice of performer was too pretentious. It could be a bit annoying. It was often hard to distinguish between characters speaking, because what little change in pitch or tone she attempted between individuals was not consistent. I've listen to all the books in the series (she preformed them all) and I frequently thought she should have rehearsed the content more.
As far as the story, it was interesting enough to entertain, but a bit short of a page turner.
Some transitions between scenes weren't always easy to follow.
Character developement lacked something. Their behaviors weren't what you would expect of people of that historical period.
The sexually explicit exploits were not realistic in execution... timing... initiation... location... culmination...!
