A Pride and Prejudice variation. Elizabeth Bennet and Georgiana Darcy were friends of long standing when they ventured a trip together to Ramsgate. While there, they are kidnapped by George Wickham, taken on a waiting ship which was to take them to Portugal. But these plans are waylaid by a storm which destroys the ship, leaving the young ladies on the shores of war torn France. While Georgiana's brother rushes to find them, could there be someone still in England who was mysteriously behind Wickham's behavior? Historical Historical Fiction Regency Regency Romance Romance

I was amazed by this storyline of Dacry & Elizabeth and their families. It starts with George Wickman abducting Georgina & her friend, Elizabeth on a ship sailing to a French island. During the trip a violent storm breaks the ship into. George W & his mistress was thrown overboard. Georgina & Elizabeth was able to escape on a piece of board from the ship. They arrived on a small island and was rescued by a kind woman. This was the beginning of a another storyline with Dacry & Elizabeth. Their were murders. Carolina lost her mind when she realized Dacry was going to marry Elizabeth. She became violent and caused her death alone with her sister's death.

Elizabeth and Georgiana are kidnapped by Wickham and put on a ship to Spain. They are shipwrecked by a storm and washed up on the coast of France, barely alive. Lots of excitement until they are rescued. Then more excitement as Elizabeth and Darcy fall in love, which drives Caroline crazy. Caroline is super mean in this story.
