American literary icon Kurt Vonnegut enjoys immense popularity - and an equally immense amount of critical praise - for such works as his absurdist classic Slaughterhouse-Five. A must-have for readers everywhere, Look at the Birdie adds further insight into the author's body of work with a riveting collection of his previously unpublished short fiction.©2009 The Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., Trust; Foreward by Sidney Offit (P)2009 Recorded Books, LLC Anthologies & Short Stories Literary Fiction Short Story Fiction Anthologies Genre Fiction

These are all great stories-amusing, pleasant, mysterious, entertaining, astute, beguiling. And the performances are brilliant, so tuned and sensitive to the tone of the characters of the story. I read the stories while listening to the Audible performances which lent so much texture and a full appreciation to the stories; especially for Vonnegut.

Great stories and performances to match

The stories were creative and generally interesting. Some quite thought provoking. I’d attempted to read another collection of Vonnegut shorts which I don’t much enjoy. This was superior to that collection and I found it overall enjoyable.

Mostly enjoyable stories
