Vincent survived the ten-items-or-less lane at his favorite grocer with more than ten items only to get flattened by a car in the parking lot. As his body laid on the asphalt, his soul rose above, accompanied by all of his supermarket items, each item triggering an embarrassing memory from his downtrodden life.

What an amazing audiobook narrated by the author. Michael did a wonderful job telling the story of Vincent, a man that is forced through his life's memories based on the grocery items in his supermarket basket.

This book kept me engaged the entire time. It was funny and relatable. I often found myself thinking back to my own embarrassing memories and laughing after listening to a chapter.

Oh my stars this book is hilarious!! Every chapter had me laughing out loud and was so entertaining.

Poor Vincent finds himself in the express lane of the grocery store with more than 10 items in his basket. After much anxiety over the ordeal, he makes a beeline out of the store as quickly as possible - only to be struck by a car that was fleeing a police car. His consciousness is hovering over his mangled body as the grocery items begin to circle around him, each bringing back a core memory of his life.

Each chapter is titled after one of the items and the story gives us glimpses of Vincent's life from childhood to present. The chapters of his childhood reminded me of the Wonder Years or Malcom in the middle. Vincent had a large family and the dynamic with his siblings was very much like Home Alone's Kevin and his dynamic with is siblings and cousins. As an adult, his life is utterly mundane but filled with very unlucky situations that had me laughing out loud.

I highy recommend this book!

Hilarious from start to finish!
