I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the storyline in this book. My expectations aren't that high for Christian novels, so I found this to be refreshing. There was some intrigue. The big downside was that it just ended...it felt like the story wasn't complete.

The people in this book are only partially believable. However the story line was fascinating enough to make me want to buy Book 2. Thats all I will say without spoiling the drama and suspense.

The story is intriguing but the narrator has no idea how to use pauses. he runs one sentence into the next without a breath or heartbeat, even when the speaker is changing. you can't tell who is saying what. it is extremely unnatural and disconcerting. i will try to avoid buying anything Lamont reads b/c it is so annoying.
