This was a fast-paced story that held me captive from the first chapter. I was thinking, all this technical talk, and I'm not going to be able to understand it. But, I was quite surprised that I was able to focus and enjoy the story. The Audible was enjoyable to listen to, despite a few flaws, but the special effects that were used for the main character's thoughts, as well as the phone calls made up for those. There was so much action and details in the story, it had my heart beating fast . Lots of twists and turns, you weren't sure who you could trust. And to think it was based on a true story.

A computer security conpany in the UK tries to get a lucrative contract in Kuala Lumpur. They end up getting involved with crime gangs putting their lives and those of their families in danger.

This was a fast paced, suspenseful and action packed story. It had many twists and dealt with various issues ripe in society today. It was based on a true story and i cant believe how true and real it felt. The detail included was masterful and you can tell the author knows what he was talking about. He described things so well you could actually see them playing out.

Elis had a good voice for the story. His accent was perfect, and not over the top like some British accents can tend to become. He had good intonation and narrated fast, in line with the pace of the story. It was a perfect match.

I highly recommend this book, it was intriguing, gripping and thoroughly entertaining.

Wow, that story sure had many twists and intrigues and it kept me guessing the whole time. Some part thriller, part high tech novel, with a bit of underground mafia to boot.

I was kinda confused at first with all the Malaysian triad codenames and I felt it was a bit confusing at first but once we got into the meat of the story, I really liked it!

The whole dark web was kept simple enough that it didn't lose me.

I felt the British narrator did an excellent job throughout the whole book. The production actually made it feel like a complete presentation with sound effects added to the voice for context, i.e. someone on the phone would actually be read through a speakerphone. I felt it added to the story.

I was given a free copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Engrossing story

I enjoyed the book, however I found every twist and turn on the story entirely predictable, not one real surprise including the ending.

A good little story

The story-line is great! At first, I thought the verbiage and terminology would be overwhelming and too much out of my knowledge to understand. Fortunately, the author does a great job on explaining every term and what issue and cause and effect needs to occur to help their situation. I didn't get lost at all!
The actions that occur are explained in such great detail you get hooked to listen more and more!
Truly a great read and enjoyed the characters and the action!

Great detail and interesting outcome
