She killed her husband. Now someone else wants her dead.

Olivia has done the unthinkable. After years of hidden bruises and careful lies, she finally fought back against her abusive husband—and left him dead on the kitchen floor. Now she's fleeing through a Montana storm with blood on her hands and nowhere to go.

When she stumbles upon Pine Lake Lodge, it seems like a miracle. The charming owner offers her shelter, warmth, and the promise of safety. But as the days pass, Olivia begins to notice things that don't add up. Locked doors. Missing women. A host whose kindness feels more like a cage.

She escaped one predator. She may have walked straight into the arms of another.

In the wilderness, no one can hear you scream. And the man who runs this lodge? He's been hunting women like Olivia for years.

To survive, she'll have to become something she never imagined—not just a victim who fights back, but a woman willing to kill again.
Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Lisa Jewell, and James Caine.

I really enjoyed the twists in this book and the story line. However, I would never recommend it to be listened to on Audible as the AI narration was horrendous. The entire reading was very robotic and monotone and lacked any emotion. Would've been enjoyable to listen to with a human narrating.

Great book but horribly read by AI
