Of course I loved this book.
Of course these two were everything I thought they’d be but, also so much more than I could’ve expected.
Of course Rina set my heart on fire in the best and craziest of ways and I loved every single second.
Holyfreakingh3ll, the chemistry between Niko and Bran and as off the charts! The passionate and agonizing thirst they shared for each other. I was shipping them long before I even knew their story would exist. To say these two were scalding would be an understatement. There was also just so much emotion and heart packed into this book.

The intense push and pull was absolutely fantastic. Niko and Bran, the layers, the hurt, the depth, the love: incredible. I expected Niko in all his daring, charmingly wildcard ways and that heart he hid away was everything and I loved seeing a different side to him. But, Bran oh my, I was wholly and truly shook by the man I got to know behind that quiet stoicism. Bran’s hurt was palpable and hit me square in the chest. Learning what I did about him during this story was a lesson in teaching you to check up on those who seem to have it all together because sometimes they’re hiding the most pain. I loved the way Niko challenged Bran and refused to settle for less. I loved the way he pushed Bran in ways he hadn’t been pushed before. Bran and Niko completely undid each other in the scariest of ways but they put themselves back together so beautifully. The way these two let their walls down with each other was a such wonderful thing to witness.

You know how before you read a book, you just know it’s going to completely ruin you? That’s this book but the devastation hurt so so good. I am absolutely obsessed with these two and everything about them.
Hands down a favorite of the series and a favorite of the year, Rina you did your gah d@mn thing with this one.
And oh man, the audio, PHENOMENAL! The whole cast: Teddy Hamilton, Shane East, Mackenzie Cartwright, Zara Hampton-Brown were immaculate in their performance. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect pair for Niko and Bran than Teddy and Shane. A truly delightful audiogasm.

So far, though we have one more to go, this has been my favorite book in this series. Hands down. I laughed and cried and was giddy, and read this book so slow to savor every single second of it. And it was so very worth it. I don’t think I’ve felt this way about a book in such a long time. I think this book will live in my head rent-free for quite some time and I honestly don’t know if I'll be able to get over this book.
Nikolai and Bran’s relationship is hot and fiery from the very beginning. Everything that these two went through together throughout this entire book was not only touching to read, but it was so lovely to see them grow not only as a couple, who are very adorable, but also as individuals. In no way, shape, or form did I ever imagine the plot would be what we were given. My jaw was like literally on the floor. And boy did it break my heart.
The audio for this book was phenomenal. Every single narrator for this book did one hell of a job. They honestly made me feel this book deep in my soul. Not only was the story fantastic and so well written but the way that the narrators portrayed Nikolai and Bran just really did it for me.
This is one of my favorite books I’ve read this year. If you’re looking for something dark, unbelievably gut wrenching, hot, is an MM romance, with top-notch plot and character development the this is a book for you. Honestly, I don’t know what you’ve been doing if you haven’t read this series yet.
