Melody's life was ordinary… until she was dragged into hell. Melody wakes in darkness with a pounding skull and two metal bands locked around her wrists, stamped with unfamiliar symbols.
Along the cavern wall, carved images emerge through grime and blood, nine interconnected circles arranged with unsettling precision. A pattern. A test. But beyond it lies hell itself…Nyx, her captor–handsome, scarred and dangerously alluring. He swears he's here to protect her, to guide her through the Underworld itself but every look, every glance feels like a threat wrapped in a promise. Is Nyx her savior or the reason she's here in the first place? Because Hell does not take at random. And whatever brought her here knows exactly what it is doing.
With enemies-to-lovers tension, a love triangle that burns hotter than the flames of Hell, and an epic battle against fate itself, Fate's Last Melody by Vanessa Smith is perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Carissa Broadbent, and Laura Thalassa. Discover the first book in this breathtaking romantasy series – The Final Threads.

Laura Horowitz delivers a narration performance that adds warmth and intensity to the story. She captures the vulnerable moments beautifully while also giving the more dramatic scenes the emotional punch they deserve. Her pacing keeps the long runtime engaging, and the characters each feel distinct and believable.
What stands out most is the way the story balances emotional depth with a sense of mystery and anticipation. There’s a strong theme of fate versus choice woven throughout the narrative, and the author does a great job of making you reflect on how one moment can completely alter a life’s direction. The emotional moments land naturally without feeling overly forced, which makes the story resonate even more.
The audiobook also shines in its atmosphere of emotional fiction with layered relationships and meaningful character growth will likely find themselves invested from beginning to end.
Overall, this audiobook was heartfelt, immersive, and emotionally satisfying, with strong narration and a story that lingers long after the final chapter.

I loved the voice actor they chose for this audio-book, and ould definetly seek out future novels she narrates.
The one thing I did have some trouble with was that the main character whined and seemed to act and think like a teenager in a young adult book. It was a bit aggravating in tthe beginning until I got used to it. I think if I had gone in expecting it I wouldnt have been as annoyed with her as I was for the first half of the novel.

What stood out most to me was the emotional depth of the characters. Their struggles, choices, and connections felt genuine, and the author did a great job building tension and emotion throughout the story. There were several moments that genuinely surprised me, and the pacing kept me interested from start to finish.
The narration also added a lot to the experience. The narrator captured the emotional tone well and made the characters feel distinct and believable, which made it easy to stay connected to the story while listening.
I especially appreciated the balance between emotional storytelling and the underlying themes of hope, healing, and finding strength through difficult moments. It’s the kind of audiobook that stays with you after it ends.
If you enjoy emotional romance, meaningful character development, and stories about love, fate, and second chances, Fate’s Last Melody is definitely worth adding to your Audible library.
