Fanny Hill, one of the most popular novels of the 18th century, traces the rise of its heroine from prostitution to middle-class respectability. Condemned in its own time on grounds of indecency, the book was the subject of several lawsuits until as recently as the 1960s. For today's audience, the work holds as much fascination as when it was first published, not only as the foremost example of English erotic fiction but as a literary classic in its own right.

Not what I was hoping for, very much so a product of it's time. Clearly written by a man that had no idea how a biologically female body works, and really shows. I fly through books, but this one taken me years try to finish. Had to skip chapters to make it through it.

Not worth it.

I couldn't continue beyond the second page listening because the performance was terrible. The inflections and expressions were all in the wrong place. This person was clearly reading. I think I've become spoiled by the actors that are doing some amazing narrating for Audible, because I just can't stand the ones that are not.
