I'm in a city under siege. Worse, I think it might be my fault because I should have seen this coming and I should have realized what we were up against. I have a new skill, but what good will it be if everyone I love dies while I'm trying to figure it out?

I am really enjoying this series. I love how through the whole story the hero constantly says "I'm no hero." It is a clean, humorous, fantasy adventure. This part of the story was more violent than previous chapters, as it was about a siege. The violence wasn't gratuitous, and the main character grew into more of a hero while still denying it.
I think my teenager would also enjoy listening to this series. The books are around 2 hours each, and cliffhangers. There is no conclusion / closure to the plot until the end of the series, although a few minor sub plots have conclusion. Personally I would have preferred a single long book instead of a dozen mini books.

Short, clean fantasy adventure
