Nate Singer is one of the good guys. As team captain, Nate’s whole deal is sticking to the playbook, supporting his team, and keeping his own issues buried. Especially since the team is finally winning, due in no small part to his chemistry with one particular hotshot teammate.

Zach Reed has a bad-boy reputation. And it’s cost him. Zach’s past exploits landed him on the worst team in the league. But that also gave him the best friend he’s ever had. For three years, his friendship with Nate has grown, making them an intimidating duo on the ice—and forming an intense bond off of it as well.

When the team hits a skid, Zach and Nate go out with one thing in mind: finding someone for a quick roll in the sheets to get back to their winning ways. Only they end up in each other’s arms—and each other’s heart. And they realize that could be exactly what they’ve always needed to win it all.

I'm so glad Cooper North was the narrator because his voice works perfectly for Ari Baran's writing, which really pulls you into the story and keeps you in the moment with the characters. I loved Zach and Nate and was pulling for them so hard. Zach is trying to recover from being cut by his first team for partying too much (which happens two years before the story) and Nate is dealing with anxiety and not feeling like he's good enough. They've been best friends for the last two years and Zach creates an excuse for them to start hooking up and there are some hilarious parts and some really sweet parts in addition to them being so hot together. But neither of them has the confidence to talk about what's happening, so they end up struggling as the season gets closer and closer to the finals. The ending was very satisfying with plenty of time to enjoy them being together. And there were so many scenes with my favorite characters from book one, Bee and Netty and Mike Sato and even Daniel Garcia (the two MCs from book one).

Love Ari Baran and Cooper North Together!

Cooper North is on point with this narration. Both characters are instantly vulnerable because of his talent.

Love Cooper North

Ugh this story had me spirally and unable to sleep at some points. So frustrating to hear two people who love each other doubt themselves and each other so much but the happy parts are amazing and it genuinely made me laugh. I also appreciate how much Philly feels alive and real in this book series as someone from the area

Great Listen, Wish I could live in this story
