City girl Poppy desperately wants to pay off her debts, quit her dead-end job, find her father...oh, and keep a plant alive. This was a fairly enjoyable light read. The performance was excellent. I didn't like Poppy, though. She's unwilling to stand up for herself unless the situation is desperate. She also makes weird choices, like buying a sandwich for lunch when she can't afford a coffee on the way to work. Why not pack a lunch if she's that desperate? Not sure I'll be reading the next book just because of the main character.

Deadhead and Buried is book 1 in the English Cottage Garden Mysteries series. This is a cozy mystery set in England. I really enjoyed this book. It is my first book by this author. It captured my attention from the very first scene. This is a great start to the series and I am looking forward to continuing on to book 2. The narration was really good. I don’t have anything negative to say. 5 stars overall.

I have a small collection of her audio books. I would like to collect more. They keep you at the edge of your seat and each book has different suspects doing different crimes.

This book is a surprise(you will see and chuckle) and a delight. I've appreciated Hanna's books in the past and chose to buy this first one in another series and am so glad I did. I'm now on to book 2 before my one point a month renews! Well worth it.
