I split this evenly between Kindle and Audible, and it absolutely held my attention. The power dynamics shift (no pun intended), and the FMC really comes into her own here instead of being overshadowed.

There’s more intensity, more possessiveness, and higher emotional stakes. I appreciated that the story explored what “claiming” really means beyond the physical — loyalty, protection, and sacrifice all come into play. This book felt like a turning point for the series, where everything starts to feel bigger and more dangerous.
