An all-new dark standalone romance from the USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Shantel Tessier. Carnage is based in the Lords' world and can be listened to as a standalone.

A PUPPET

The men in the secret society known as the Lords think they rule the world. And in a way, they do. Each has sold their soul to the devil at a young age in exchange for power and wealth. Like anything else, they have different levels of success. The more they’re willing to serve, the more power they have.

Among them are the Spade brothers, who run Carnage. It’s where the Lords who have not held up their oath go to live out the rest of their lives in shackles. Tucked away from the world as if they never existed.

I VOW. YOU VOW. WE VOW.

I once belonged to a Lord—Saint Beckham Carter. Although nothing was holy about him, I still kneeled as if he could grant me eternity in a world where only evil existed.

At the time, I willingly vowed to be his and allowed him to share me with his “brothers.” But things changed. And what I thought couldn’t get any better got exceptionally worse. So I did the only thing I could and ran from him, knowing I could never return. Now he’s found me and dragged me back to his hell, where he will make me his pet. The world already thinks I’m dead, so no one will miss me. And I’m just another name on a long list of those who will never know freedom.

What he doesn’t know is why I ran from him in the first place. A Lord doesn’t listen to reason, so it’s not like he’d care anyway. Saint was born a Lord, and he will die as one.

If life has taught me anything, it’s that we all pay for our sins. And Saint will never let me forget that my place is at Carnage, serving him on my knees until death is granted.

I loved everything about this book! Tessier's writing in this one blew my mind! The storyline had me hooked thought and at no point became dull or repetitive. There's one part of the story that clearly broke my heart...sigh...but I suppose I'll get over it in five years. 🤣🤣🤣 Teddy Hamilton and Michelle Sparks are my two favorite narrators. They put so much life and heart into their performances and it makes listening THAT much more special. Many narrators lean only on their nice voices and fail to put heart and soul into their work, but not these two. They give it their all and it definitely shows. I truly hope they narrate all the books in the remainder of this series. But back to Tessier...madam, I'm in shambles after this one. 😫😭 It's one of very few audiobooks that I know I'll listen to again and again and again. I'm sorry that I'm late to your work but better late than never, right?

Can't go wrong with Tessier, Hamilton, & Sparks!

"There is no God here, sweetheart. Make no mistake, you will kneel for me, but the things I have planned for you are anything but holy."

This one is by far the best in the series it gets a 5/5 for everything - story line, suspense, sex/smut, characters, narration. Parts of this story gave me goosebumps. I do have a "but" though...but no matter how many of these dark romance stories I read, "my little wh**e" and "you want to be my s**t" is a no for me. I mean it works for the stories but I just don't like it, of course not enough to make me not read these books, just know if I was in a relationship we would have a huge problem if someone called me these things.
Now that I have gotten that out of the way....CHEFS KISS to the Shantel Tessier, Teddy Hamilton and Michelle Sparks for this story and the absolutely amazing narration. It has been a while since I've listened to 18hrs of narration in one day and the reason I listen to audiobooks, I would have lost my mind if I had to keep putting this book down to get shit done.

One thing is clear the House of Lords is Disneyland compared Carnage. This book is about the Spade Brothers that we've gotten tidbits about in The Sinner and in The Sacrifice. Carnage is truly where you go to die but it is also where Saint loved and protected Ashtyn along with his "brothers" Kash and Haidyn. There are so many twist to this story that it is difficult to review without giving away spoilers.
I did struggle with Ashtyn and her lack of self-worth, she loved Saint for so long and wanted to be his chosen for so long she would literally do anything he told and wanted to be his "little s**t" and "good little wh**e".

The book was ok. Extreme sexual parts for me, but I listened through it. I feel like the storyline had a lot of unnecessary parts that could've been left off, like the story ran on far too long than it needed to. It was hard to stay interested in it. Towards the end, it got intriguing. I wouldn't read it again. Performance was good

A lot could have been left out

By far my favorite L.O.R.D.S. book so far! Saint is just so possessive but somehow also here, have a taste because I know she likes it. It gives Ash the best of both worlds besides all the other terrible stuff that happens to her. Definitely answers a lot of questions from Sinner and Sacrifice. Can’t wait for Madness!

Sweetheart

Michelle Sparks really brings this story to life! Teddy Hamilton was amazing. They’re both a dynamic duo for any dark romance audiobook! This story kept me up all night because I kept wanting to know what’s next.
