A secret war. An insidious conspiracy. One young man holds the fate of a galactic empire.

Wil Sietinen is driven by duty. Torn between his responsibilities as heir to a preeminent family dynasty while training to be an officer in the galactic military, he would rather design starships than plot political schemes or battle strategies. But when Wil is captured by a mysterious alien enemy, he learns that a brutal war has been secretly waging for centuries… and his unique telekinetic powers are the last hope to end the conflict.

As he confronts the daunting challenge of leading the battered military to victory, Wil realizes that the enemy isn't who he's been led to believe. Caught between ruthless adversaries and unsure who to trust, can Wil secure the Taran Empire's future?

The Cadicle series is a thrilling space opera epic in the grand tradition, perfect for fans of interstellar sci-fi adventures, intricate world-building, and galactic-scale political intrigue. This collection includes the first three volumes of the Cadicle series.

Architects of Destiny

Cris Sietinen was born with rare telekinetic gifts--abilities outlawed by the governing Priesthood. A new future awaits when Cris receives an invitation to join the TSS and begin their sanctioned telekinesis training program. Except, following that path puts him at the center of a generations-old galactic conspiracy.

Veil of Reality

The greatest deceptions are never suspected. After twenty years with the TSS, Cris Sietinen is in the unprecedented position of being both Lead Agent and heir to a High Dynasty. When his son, Wil, is captured by the mysterious alien Bakzen, Cris uncovers a hidden truth that forces him to question all that he once took for granted.

Bonds of Resolve

A year after his encounter with the Bakzen, Wil is still grappling with his upcoming role in the war. However, Wil finds unexpected support when he befriends a new TSS trainee from Earth, Saera. Through their budding relationship, Wil comes to terms with the purpose he was born to fulfill and gains comfort in the knowledge that he won't have to face the future alone.

I have the books on Kindle. I know have the Cadicle series. NOW I am waiting on what happens. Hurry Amy I need my mind-space-crack!

This story is easy to follow and opens your mind to possibilities. Also if anyone knows the "Ringing moon" Theory will love how she uses it!

The premise is good, and for most of this first chunk follows through well. But eventually it falls into the trap of young teenagers ignoring the literal decades of experience the adults around them have. That's prob fine if this is supposed to be YA fiction, but I didn't see any clear indicators of that when I bought it on sale. The writing and voice are okay, maybe even good, but I reached my personal limit before finishing and I'm a little frustrated by how little time the story gives to developing things.

Consistent, then falls flat

This was a fun story. That's why we read a novel, isn't it? I enjoyed it. The characters were likeable and didn't do stupid things that nobody in real life would do. This is no Dune, Enders Game or Battlefield Earth, but it was enjoyable. Knowing what I know now about the book, I'd buy it again.

I have loved getting to know the characters in this series and am looking forward to continuing with the next book! I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys space adventure, Sci fi, and a bit of romance.

Absolutely riveting!

Performance was just slightly stilted (perhaps due to the material) but I’d listen to this reader again with different material.
“Opera” is pretty accurate. Confused Details and lapses in “continuity” from one part of the story jerked me out of the story. For instance, telekinesis was sometimes used but other times not “allowed” by the story’s rules (without an indication as to how the story’s rules permitted the first and prevented the second). The story required the reader to “just accept” that. Stories should live within the rules established in the story. Characters and character development was spotty because of this.
Perhaps this is an early effort and the author’s ongoing growth will improve future work (like the young character’s development in this book.)

Good for flights of fantasy; not so much as a close read
