This is a lovely book that, through sharing his in-depth studying experience, Jack Kornfield explains so much about different teachers, different theories, and different take-aways from Theravada Buddhism. He explains the different types of Buddhism as well. It is Taylor es to the Westerner who wants to know much more about this loving philosophy. It is eloquently read.

Thorough and open

This is a wonderful, heartfelt book and covered all of the material. I hoped it would. I really enjoyed it, and can see myself going back and rereading it from time to time.

Everything I had hoped
