FROM BOOK 1: Death Of A New Life
After the death of her second husband, retired school teacher Ellie Greenson decides to move to a small Tennessee town and settle down into a nice, quiet life. After arriving at her new home, she opens an antique bookstore and begins her new life. But when she finds a dead woman lying on the floor of her new store, she is thrust into a horrible, complicated mystery with more questions than answers.

Frightened, confused and desperate for answers, Ellie teams up with the local sheriff and sets out on a quest for answers that leads her down a dangerous path. But when Ellie becomes tangled up in a ruthless plot designed by a mastermind, she begins to question her ability to survive. Forced to think like a madman in order to get close to the killer, Ellie spirals down a dark path that eventually brings them face to face.

Will Ellie live to see the beauty of autumn change into a wonderful winter or will she end up the victim of a murderer looking for vengeance?

I have never… NEVER heard such horrible AI narration!! I am Not new to Ai Voice narration, and while I’d rather have -in most cases- a somewhat lacking human speaker than AI , it’s often a way to save $$! This however, had SO MANY mistakes that it was simply deplorable! Especially to a wordsmith listener. I have been an avid reader since young boyhood and mainly use Audible because my eyes are failing as I approach my 75th year. It’s obvious even to someone basically nearly illiterate that this performance was not proofed by the publisher. I’ve never heard so many mispronounced words in one set of relatively short novels in my life. AI transposed letters and employed “guessology” often. I’m talking so many times that it would take days to find them all. An example: there was a character named Brian that was as “cheek” continually pronounce Brain! The word “tried” often was pronounced as “tired”! The word “lead” ( as in to guide) was continually read as “lead” - the soft metal; and the word “cheque” ( as in a dinner cheque) was always mispronounced as “cheek”!Those are only some examples of what I would guess to be between three 300 and 500 errors in the entire box set !
The sad part is that the author’s content was decent, and under better narration would be a good listen!!!

Horrible Narration.
